چکیده

Low cost imaging sensors and powerful embedded computers have taken the field of computer vision to new heights. One challenges that remains is shorten development time it takes target one’s algorithm hardware. This work details steps necessary use Model Based Design first simulate then a stereo rectification undistortion an FPGA system on chip hardware target. demonstrates what future FPGA-based might look like by making closed loop design techniques with aid novel tool flows. Hardware-abstracted constructs such as ’virtual cameras’ capability pulling images off feeding them back into simulation model help minimize discrepancies between domains, ultimately reducing total time. The developed deterministic real low latency implementation does not rely external memory all buffering done in internal block RAM structures. capable processing 752x480 at pixel line rates easily expandable high resolution images. being touted novel, rather sufficiently complex order demonstrate power

Fpga-based Rectification and Lens Undistortion for a Real-time Embedded Stereo Vision Sensor

Modern applications such as robot assembling automation, upcoming mobile robot platforms for homes, and car safety features require both, 3D perception and object classification, for navigation and object manipulation [9]. Real-time performance of approximately 30 frames per second is mandatory and a very critical design issue. Embedded stereo vision sensors, consisting of a sensor head and a c...

FPGA-based Real-time Optical Flow Algorithm Design and Implementation

Optical flow algorithms are difficult to apply to robotic vision applications in practice because of their extremely high computational and frame rate requirements. In most cases, traditional general purpose processors and sequentially executed software cannot compute optical flow in real time. In this paper, a tensor-based optical flow algorithm is developed and implemented using field program...

investigating the feasibility of a proposed model for geometric design of deployable arch structures

deployable scissor type structures are composed of the so-called scissor-like elements (sles), which are connected to each other at an intermediate point through a pivotal connection and allow them to be folded into a compact bundle for storage or transport. several sles are connected to each other in order to form units with regular polygonal plan views. the sides and radii of the polygons are...

A Platform-Based SoC Design for Real-Time Stereo Vision

A stereo vision is able to build threedimensional maps of its environment. It can provide much more complete information than a 2D image based vision but has to process, at least, that much more data. In the past decade, real-time stereo has become a reality. Some solutions are based on reconfigurable hardware and others rely on specialized hardware. However, they are designed for their own spe...

Real-time image-based rendering for stereo views of vegetation

Rendering of detailed vegetation for real-time applications has always been difficult because of the high polygon count in 3D models. Generating correctly warped images for nonplanar projection surfaces often requires even higher degrees of tessellation. Generating left and right eye views for stereo would further reduce the frame rate since information for one eye view cannot be used to redraw...
